Nashville, TN — December 19, 2024
Corsair Artisan Distillery, a beloved fixture of Wedgewood Houston, has announced the bittersweet closure of its Merritt Avenue location. After nearly a decade of spirit production, barrel aging, blending, bottling, and serving cocktails to their loyal neighborhood patrons, the distillery will close its doors for the final time on Sunday, December 22nd, 2024.
In a heartfelt statement shared via Facebook, the Corsair team shared their gratitude for the Wedgewood Houston community:
"We would like to thank all of those who paid us a visit, making priceless memories through shared laughs, stories, and of course, drinks, over these past 10 years. This neighborhood has truly been our home, and we hope to serve y’all once again someday soon!"
Although the Merritt Avenue location is closing, Corsair Distillery isn’t going far. They will maintain a larger production site in Wedgewood Houston, with plans to build out a front-of-house experience in the future. In the meantime, their Marathon Village location will remain open for tours, tastings, cocktails, and merchandise.
Excitingly, Corsair is also expanding its operations in Ashland City with the introduction of the Corsair Nashville Bourbon, a new addition long requested by fans of the distillery.
"Cheers to all of you who made these past 10 years unforgettable. We can’t wait to see what’s next and hope to welcome you back soon!"
